At The Edge of a New Adventure
The Story Behind Appraise
When I considered a new chapter of my career, I didn’t picture creating a consulting brand. Appraise was born out of a conversation—one I didn’t see coming.
A very successful team owner approached me in February 2024 and asked if I would step in as her sales director. My first thought was, “Really…me? Her team is killing it! What did she think I had to offer?” The voice of the imposter syndrome was loud and clear. But I chose not to let it lead. Instead, I leaned into what life has taught me are God-given gifts—being direct, having clarity, strategy, and the ability to reframe things for a new perspective.
So as we talked more, it became clear what she really needed was a consultant. Someone to look at the structure of her business, challenge the systems she had in place, and come alongside her team to find any gaps or stumbling blocks. As we know, success brings ceilings… and ceilings produce breakthroughs!
So I started asking questions. And I listened. Then I got to work.
I built a consulting package from the ground up: group sessions, one-on-one meetings, in-person and virtual touchpoints. My package is designed as a 12-week engagement; she asked me to extend it. After ten months from our first conversation, I transitioned out of my role on her team—the work was bearing fruit and I knew they could keep going without me. Word spread, and at the end of 2024, another successful team owner hired me to consult. New team, new dynamics, new ceilings to break through….let’s do this!
That’s when I knew: this was more than an experiment. I loved the role, the impact, the light bulb moments. I realized that what I was offering—structured, strategic consulting for real estate teams—wasn’t just needed, it was transformational. People are made up of so many layers and between personal and business, things can get tangled up! I love the art of unraveling.
So, I gave this new passion a name. I built a brand. I launched a website. And Appraise was born—created to come alongside team owners, challenge their thinking, and help them build something strong, sustainable, and worth the effort.
This is just the beginning, but it’s already proven: when strategy thinks, execution starts. And that’s where real growth happens.
